Meng Chee is a Singapore-based cinematographer and filmmaker working across narrative, documentary, and commercial work. His ideal in cinematography is always to serve the story, every lens and lighting choice is made with that in mind.

He holds a BFA in Digital Filmmaking from Nanyang Technological University’s School of Art, Design and Media, and was one of nine filmmakers selected from across Asia for the 50th Golden Horse Film Academy, as well as the Asian Film Academy in Busan.

His recent work extends this approach to vertical formats, adapting the same attention to frame and light for stories built to be watched on a phone screen.
